How Monitoraa Works
Monitoraa keeps track of important web pages for you by checking them automatically and notifying you when they change. Below is a simple explanation of how the system works from the moment you add a page to the moment you receive an alert.
The Process in Four Steps
1. You add a page to monitor
Paste any URL into Monitoraa and select how often you want it checked. You can monitor product pages, job listings, dashboards, search results, documentation, or anything else that matters to you.
2. The worker fetches the page on a schedule
Monitoraaâs background worker fetches the page at the interval you choose. It uses a browser environment that handles most modern websites, including dynamic content.
3. The system compares the latest version with the previous one
Monitoraa computes a change score to determine whether the current version is meaningfully different from the previous one. Small fluctuations and irrelevant noise are filtered out to avoid false positives.
4. You receive a notification if something changed
If a change passes the threshold, Monitoraa stores the new version and sends you an email alert. You can click through to see the difference and track the history of changes over time.
Why This Approach Works Well
The process is simple but effective, designed to minimize irrelevant alerts while notifying you quickly about meaningful updates.
The worker system scales to thousands of checks per hour, and all checks are performed on external isolated servers so they do not slow down the app for users.
